Title: How to Update the Panel Image for a Siemens HMI

This document demonstrates how to update the firmware for the KTP700 HMI panel.

If TIA Portal displays an error message similar to the one shown below, it indicates that the panel image needs to be upgraded.

Step 1: Open the SIMATIC ProSave Application

Before starting the upgrade, make sure of the following:

The Ethernet cable is securely connected and the connector lock is not damaged. A loose connection may interrupt the upgrade process.

The laptop has sufficient battery charge or is connected to a power source to prevent shutdown during the upgrade.

Step 2: Select the Image File

Choose the image file that is already installed with your TIA Portal installation.
If you cannot find the file locally, you can download it separately from the Siemens website.
